On 02 December 2025, the School of Business and the Office of External Affairs jointly organized a seminar titled “Navigating Opportunities and Challenges for Young Talents in the Insurance Sector of Bangladesh” at the Conference Room of Uttara University.
Mr. Khawja Manzer Nadeem, Managing Director & CEO of United Insurance PLC, served as the Keynote Speaker. He highlighted the significant role of the insurance sector in economic development and addressed the common misconceptions surrounding it. He informed participants that over 46 insurance companies are currently operating in Bangladesh, offering promising employment opportunities and career growth, including the potential to become a CEO with competitive fringe benefits. He encouraged students to explore this sector and expressed his commitment to supporting Uttara University graduates. He also emphasized the industry’s contribution to the country’s GDP.
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Javed Mahmud, Assistant Professor, who urged students to develop employability skills and actively participate in such academic events.
Prof. Farruque Mohammad Masud, Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration, graced the seminar as the Chief Guest. He underscored the importance of organizing career-oriented programs and offered valuable career guidance to the students. He also thanked the keynote speaker and participants for making the event successful.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to engage directly with the keynote speaker on career prospects and industry expectations.
